What outdone? Hird couldn't quite grab the high kick, it fell to Ablett playing behind.

I remember the game, one of the best of all time. It's a pity the biased editor of the packege focused on Abletts 14 goals and neglected Paul Salmons 10 goals at the other end and the fact thew Bombers still won the game.

We still won the game anyway so it doesn't really matter & that was his 2nd season

Admittedly, an absolutely awesome display by Ablett that day. I think he may have missed a couple more as well.
