Default North Melbourne without Thompson

Looks as if Nathan Thompson is out for the season. Thompson is our most important player in the team no questions asked and was brilliant last year (finished top 10 in the Brownlow i think). Was probably the second best FF after Fevola last year and might be just important to us as Fev is to Carlton.

Thompson didn't just kick goals for us either, he provided a great target man and got to every contest. With our midfields kicking (Adam Simpson/Btrady Rawlings anybody?) it's a suprise any full forward can kick that many goals

I guess so far this season the first 3 games Thompson didn't have much of an impact yet North still managed to be competitive

What this means: It ruins our forward line structure completely and will mean Aaron Edwards (great dream team pick now Tippaz) will now have to step up immensely as well as Jones and Hale kicking more goals. - I can't see us making the top 8 without him to be honest, i hope im proven wrong though.

very very good bloke Thommo, wish him a speedy recovery

I know most here thought the Roos would be bottom four anyway but what do you think this means? - Also does anybody ever see Thommo on the footy show, very funny man (loved it when he asked Mundine to knock out Sam )

I reckon my ladder positioning of the Kangas is right now. I know they won without relying on him in the preseason, but they still neede him there for guidance, without him the Kangas forward line is lost.

Yep, I already had the Roos 16th. This just confirms it. Thompson is their only A list player.

Harvey Grant and Archer were once A listers, but their time has passed. The rest are not near it and never have been. Fine players yes, but not A listers.

The Roos have firmed in the wooden spoon betting from $3.75 to $3.25 (this is just with Centrebet) from Friday to this morning. Quite a shortening for 1 player lost (possibly aided by the Blues victory as well).
