Thats great, really. Start a thread with a definite title and then make the post a maybe.

Didn't Plugg3r do this same thing with a Collingwodd Geelong match?

On Topic:

I think hawks are a real chance, yeah. Buddy Franklin will hopefully come into his own, and the young plays have gotten some good experience from last year.

I don't care what you say, the Geelong Advertiser is a mighty fine publication for Geelong supporters and bandwagoners alike

The following are pure gold:
Zero Punctuation, Family Guy, Mighty Boosh, Black Books, RATM, QOTSA, Buckethead, Werder Bremen and the Cats

Maybe you are not so smart, I said I think so anyway, meaning that regardless what people say, I believe they would. Silly boy.

Is this coming from the same person that said West Coast were unstoppable for last years flag and that only Fremantle could stop you? Your predictions are worse than Chris 'Meesen is the next Adelaide captain' McDermott's.

What are you basing that on? Their ladder position? Their 2 prolific performances so far this season? Their rapid improvement last year? Their impeccable list, which is one of the best 2 or 3 in the league? Their literally unstoppable forwardline? Their quality youth which will be one year older, stronger and fitter following another pre season?

As far as I'm concerned, Hawthorn are one of three, maybe 4 teams who are ready for a Grand Final spot in 08.

Yes well. The season is only 2 games in and its ok to make predictions based on 2 games in BUT when the Hawks play a team that is a finals contender(top 4) and run all over them then yes they are top 3or2 but at the moment they are top 8 imo.

The the Hawks played an over-rated Freo(WEEK 2) at home and won by 15pts (i think it could be less) after leading by nearly 40pts.Margin went up and down during the whole game.

The Hawks played Melbourne(WEEK 1)......need i say more.Look what the bulldogs did to the Demons this weekend.

My prediction will be that the Hawks will ................I will wait untill later in the season.

No, I'm basing it on their general play over the last two seasons. Who cares if they have rapidly improved? The Kangas rapidly improved but I don't see anyone saying 'GF 08'. Their forwardline is very stoppable, Franklin was well held last night by McPharlin in the first half and was gifted a goal by the umpires (he dropped the mark but got paid it). Roughead was well held early by Grover and Boyle was barely spotted at times. If we can stop them, anyone can.

Their impeccable list? Please, there are 5 lists that are better than theirs. StKilda, Geelong, Brisbane, Sydney, Collingwood.

They are very easy to shut down at beat. Simply being over rated at the moment by taking a huge win over a team that is nonexistant then playing Freo who are very disappointing at this stage of the year.

Back Flank, if you truly new Footy, you would have already known this. Alas, you don't and that is why I continually have to educate you.. I mean you do go for the Tigers.

Hawthorn on paper are easily better than Brisbane, Sydney and Collingwood. On par with Saints and not far behind Geelong. Their forward line is amongst the best in the comp and is largely led by youth so will be for a while yet. their midfield is on par with the best in the league, and their ruck stocks are coming along nicely. Down back is where they fall off a tad but Brown and Gilham are starting to even make their defense look reasonable. I'd be happy with 4 goals each week from both our key forwards so well held or not they did their job.
