Default The 8 is almost settled already

8 rounds in and 4 teams are certain finals teams, 6 playing for 4 spots.

St Kilda and Collingwood to miss, and Port and Brisbane to finish in the 8, the other 6 will stay as is.

Carlton will pass the saints to finish 10th.

Essendon will be outplayed by the tigers this week but win by 2 points due to Richmonds hap hazzard goal kicking, and dubious free kicks.

They reckon 10 wins will be enough to make the eight this year. I think the Kangaroos will drop out and Richmond or Port will replace them in the eight. The Kangaroos have the toughest draw in the AFL and they are going to struggle to win enough games to make the 8. Here are my top 8 predictions at this stage of the season;

Hawthorn
Geelong
Bulldogs
Adelaide
Sydney
Brisbane
Collingwood
Richmond or Port

I actually agree with that. North have a very tough draw and it's going to be tough to make the 8 in the position we are in. We simply have to take points off some of the big boys and the teams around us.

Still ridiculous to make a call this far out from finals. Anything can happen, there will no doubt be a couple of surprises along the way.

Carlton in there for sure, maybe even top 4! Late run home
