Default Protected Species

I don't care what people think of my opinion on this one. All I know and believe is that some players mainly former brownlow medalists are a protected species. And the tribunal is too intimidated to suspend them for long periods of time because the drop in crowd attendances would just plummit COUGH COUGH!

How Adam goodes did not get the very bare minimum of 1 week for what he did is beyond me. Ok it was not front on contact but it was still head high and the A.F.L has clampt down (even if it's inconsistently at times) on head high contact.

Another example. If a player makes basically any kind of contact with an umpire or is reported for wrestling. Rest assured their pay packet will be a little bit lighter for a week or two.

Depending on the severity of it should depend on how much $$$$ they fork out.

To me head high contact is head high contact. Doesn't matter who does it or how it's done.

It needs to be dealt with in terms of severity just like everything else should.

I am suprised Goodes didn't win the $50 million on offer in last weeks powerball because luck certainly seems to be on his side.

yeah i agree, and the way he done it, it looks like he timed it and wanted it to happen like it did. with front on contact a lot of the time they cant pull out once the player ducks, their in direct line with the player cos their both going the ball. goodes wasn't going the ball

OMG I cant believe you guys are even bringing this BS up.

Goodes hardly even touched him, he was going for the ball initially until he pulled out and s****ped and I mean s****ped his face.

Want inconsistancy, what about in the first quarter when he copped an elbow to the face? Yeh go home.

Protected Species, yeh eat me.

Goodes made no attempt to get the ball. I have no idea what he was trying to do but all he did was run into the guys head. Shaun Burgoyne on the other hand clearly looses his balance and clips Mitchell on the way through. Yet Goodes gets off and Shaun got 3 weeks. Disgrace.

i don't agree.

there wasn't really much in it, i thought.
it was more of a footy accident than "rough conduct" and i would've thrown out the charge.
the Godfrey incident was the one he got away with.
and i felt they were making up for a previous mistake.

So the "Superstar" should be okay with his effort then Tippaz?
