Default Rising Star - best chance from each club
After having a look through the heraldsun footy magazine, i was disappointed in some of their selections. Decided to have a go at it myself. Here is my take:

ADE - Richard Douglas
BRL - Matthew Leuenberger
CAR - Bryce Gibbs (not Josh Kennedy)
COL - Scott Pendlebury
ESS - Patrick Ryder (not Scott Gumbleton)
FRE - Marcus Drum (not Garrick Ibbotson)
GEE - Joel Selwood (not Tom Hawkins)
HAW - Xavier Ellis (not Beau Muston)
KAN - Lachlan Hansen
MEL - James Frawley (not Nathan Jones - he was nominated last year)
PTA - Travis Boak (not Matt Thomas)
RIC - Cleve Hughes
STK - David Armitage
SYD - Simon Phillips (not Heath Grundy)
WBD - Shaun Higgins
WCE - Shannon Hurn (not Mitchell Brown)

feel free to comment and/or add some of your own picks.
who do you think will win it ???
i think Scott Pendlebury will win it. although he is not my REAL choice, i think 2nd and 3rd year players are advantaged.
Joel Selwood would be my real preference.

Personally dont think that Ryder has what it takes just yet, probably needs another season to muture and build some more muscle. Someone like davey possbily?

SHAUN Higgins would go pretty close i reckon, had a few good games before injuring his elbow.

I agree Mitch brown is defs a no hope for rising star. is priddis still eligible ??

Matt campbell from kangas could do alright?

Roos: Riggio, Thomas, Campbell or Smith (depending when he comes in the team) - my bet for our best hope would be Thomas

from Freo is Browne eligible to win it?

i may have under-estimated Mitchell Brown.
didn't think he'd play too many games either, considering it's such a tough side to break into
although i feel certain Shannon Hurn will inevitably get his nomination.
