Default Demetriou's clash jumper is clashing

Mr Demetriou, thank you for inventing a new concept in football - "The Jumper Clash". A figment of Andrew's vast imagination, the jumper clash has many interstate teams dressing like umpires and many umpires dressing like football teams used to. The is pure genius. We were told that Brisbane would wear thier old Fitzroy jumper for all Melbourne games, in my opinion the best jumper in football. Unfortunately, and suddenly Brisbane have worm white (why white????) jumpers in thier last 2 games in Melbourne and have played about as good as a pack of umpires. It is about time we spoke out about the butchering of the proud history of this game.

Jumper clases are a myth, because Andrew, i can't tell which team is playing out there.

Clash jumpers are needed. Brisbane have worn white because the last two teams they have played feature blue and red.

The entire AFL jumper thing needs to be resolved once and for all.

Get rid of white shorts except for those teams who have half white jumpers, the rest play in shorts that are part of their base colours, why do Essendon Richmond Melbourne and others without white in the jumpers wear white shorts at all ?????? its not their base colours anyway.

Yes the last 2 teams they played featured blue and red - but Brisbanes jumper is maroon. Can there not be 2 teams on a ground anymore that have dark coulred jumpers.
You can always differentiate with shorts as well.
I don't see the problem.

If you've played footy, you know its not easy to distinguish anyone at full speed when you need to fire out a quick handpass. Usually you just see a primary colour. In terms of Brisbane and Melbourne, they are both dark, so its hard to distinguish.

I have played, and you have a point with Brisbane and Melbourne i guess. I just think the AFL needs to settle on jumpers that the supporters can identify with. I think that the white jumpers don't do anything for Carlton, Fremantle, Brisbane ect.
I also noticed in the Melbourne v StKilda game that Melbourne wore a much lighter, almost light grey with red jumper that clashed with StKilda more that their traditional jumper. Anyway, my favorite footy jumper is the old Fitzroy one and i hope we see it again in Melbourne.

Clash jumpers are sometimes needed (eg. North vs Collingwood), but these days it's almost as much about the merchandise dollar than anything else. That's why clubs come up with different alternate strips almost every season.

Unlike Freo who have the normal 2 and then a charity guernsey (the all purple). Most teams keep the same, Brisbane have their Fitzroy one and the white one. WCE have the non-original one etc etc
