Default Freeo Firm for Spoon..WC to challenge

Whilst the battle for the 8 and top 4 are warming up, below a battle rages just as intense for the Golden Tankard (GT) or Draft Pick Trophy herein known as (DPT), used to be the wooden spoon.

The Dons ( who were going well) have killed any chance of getting the DPT now after a very promising run failed against WC, Carlton, and Freeo. WC and Freeo clearly outpointed the Dons to cleverly eliminate them as a contender for the DPT.

So the battle has become 3, and now with the Ds getting win two, all 3 bottom teams are pretty equal chance to win. It will be an excellent fight for a valuable prize, my tip is WC by % after their excellent loss to Geelong a few weeks back, that performance convinced me of their ability to secure the DPT in 08.

Err If you think they are tanking, then you are sorely mistaken. Why would we bother coming back when we had only 1 on the bench if we were tanking. WC are just battered and bruised, most players have been injured or are injured. Melbourne are just **** and are clearly not tanking otherwise they would have let that game go. This tanking debate is getting annoying. If anyone is tanking, its Port.

WC are just getting game time in to the youngsters and experimenting with the set up, whilst obviously trying to win the game. Win or lose doesn't really matter now.

I dont think these teams are tanking - they are simply rubbish. I favour the D's to win, but its going to be close.

NO WAY
If they move up the ladder at all I would be shocked. The gap is way too big to get to 12th. Freo should have done better than two wins - they are generally competative, but are not taking games when they should.
