Default Gold Coast Football Club - Let The Games Begin
The new Gold Coast club will begin its AFL life in 2011 with a massive 57 players - including nine rookies - on its playing list as well as an additional $1 million in its salary cap compared to the other 16 clubs.

Gold Coast will receive the first three picks in the 2010 draft, as well as picks 1,2,3,5,7,9,11,13 and 15. Also it will then have the first pick in each subsequent round of the draft

Personally, think these concessions will guarantee the death of at least 1 Victorian club if not 2. However, the subtle delay till the 2010 draft definitely changes things.

Did everyone watch the Footy Show, it has been revealed that the Gold Coast team will have No Nickname, they will be known simply as the Gold Coast Football Club, they will be the only team in the AFL with No nickname.

I think we should call them "The breast fed". They're getting a pretty good start to life.

Its not just Gold Coast, these sort of concessions will have to be given to West Sydney too. New tallent will be tough to get for all current clubs in the next few years.

l think they should call themselves goldfingers went to a club in melbourne maybe oldfella has been their , if your looking to be breast fed its a good place to start.

Whats with the colours? They will need plenty off clash gurnsey unless they stay on the collingwood "high" ground and refuse.
