- THE Herald Sun has just announced its inaugural SuperTeam - the best 22 players from the 2008 season.
- Selected by Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun footy experts after plenty of robust debate, the team was named in position, with players only eligible for positions in which they played this season.
It was selected as though the team was to play a game, with players assigned to roles required by AFL teams, such a nominated tagger - Cameron Ling - and a secondary ruckman - Drew Petrie.
Ling makes their team despite being left out of the squad of 40 All-Australian contenders.

C: Adam Cooney, Jimmy Bartel, Cameron Ling
