Default Blinded By the Lights

Was it just me or did anyone else notice the dazzling advertising light show that was going on behind the goals at ANZ stadium last night in the Sydney vs North Melbourne Elimination Final? Not quite as good as the Opening Ceremony in Bejing but not all that far behind it.
What concerned me just a tad was that it really lit up twice in the second quarter as Nathan Thompson lined up for shots at goal. I had to reach for my sunglasses as brilliant flashes of light burst out and moving images sped rapidly from one direction to the other, always away from the goals. Congratulations to Nathan who I think managed to at least score a couple of behinds despite the distracting money making advertising antics.
Strangely though, as I watched with interest for the rest of the game, Sydney did not have to put up with the same distractions as they lined up for shots at goal. Much more sedate images with only minimal or no movement at all were being shown.
Conspiracy or coincidence. What do you think?

Thanks Head. I was worried it was just me. Two glasses of Vodka and one red wine should not have caused what I saw last night. Seriously though, do we really need these full on ad displays right behind the goals? I don't barrack for the Kangas but did think they copped the light show much more than the Swans. May the force be with you.
