Brades... Would you PLEASE shut the **** up?
always a comment from you
I wasnt in the country for 3 months of the football season so i got my info on reading the results of games and the stats. From that I picked up Harvey (of the Brent variation) had a consistant year and was always in the top three of Norths best. I don't listen to the media. I have never bought into the Jimmy Bartel hype so before you quote me learn your facts.

i suppose you have a right to be so angry all the time... you are a fremantle supporter

Yeah.. cause theres something wrong with commenting on issues. I really should just say nothing at all.. cause thats what you do.

Harvey had a consistent year, but the Roos didn't win many big games and they always had someone stand up with Harvey who could steal the three votes - one man didn't win them the game.

I'de say those are all pretty big wins Braden., just to name a few. Plus we lost to Geelong by 13 points which is a decent effort by anybody's standards.

I"m not sure what the media has to do with any of this Brades. I agree some people are perhaps influenced by the media, but North Melbourne isn't really a team that gets much media attention. Generally it's the players of the bigger teams like Collingwood, Essendon etc that get talked up.

I can't see how you can agree with some of the umpires votes. Generally i think the brownlow goes to the right person but i don't think it did this year. I don't really mind Cooney won personally, very good player with a bright future. He wasn't however anywhere near as good as Ablett or Boomer Harvey this year. I don't think Richo was either but who the hell cares, everyone loves Richo and had a fantastic year - would've been a worthy winner.

Anyway - just saw an add for Red Rooster - i'm off for lunch

EDIT: Alright, so maybe you meant big wins as in by a lot of points. I still think it's hard to argue Harvey had an impressive year. I personally don't think he was as good as last year however.

I thought Harvey would do better too, but in the end I was barracking for Richo. There is a lot of criticism of the award - midfielders and blondes rate more highly than others! I also think once a player is seen as really good they have to play above themselves to rate votes.(eg Bartel who had more possessions this year yet way less votes) But what do we do? It's a silly award in some ways - why pluck one player out of so many for so much glory? And as for the whole 'frock' thing - give me strength!
