Scott West would win the brownlow. The grand final would be played out between St. Kilda and the Western Bulldogs, who would draw. In the week preceeding the replay, Chris Grant and Robert Harvey would announce their joint retirements at the same press conference, effective immedietely, because they have so much respect for eachother. Brad Johnson wins the Norm Smith the first week and Justin Koschitzkie the replay.
