Yeah mate you are one of a select few, I've got a mate who refused to smoke around that age when we first tried smoke's for the same reasons. But understand that this problem doesn't just affect Ben Cousins, there would be a few in the AFL like him, just not named, and even more that have tried drugs.
Also, the profession of the game is demanding, I honestly do not blame the Footballers for taking up some kind of release, not saying it's a good thing, it's terrible, but understandable.
Even swimmers and marathon runners have tried some sort of performance enhancing drugs, which again is wrong, but it does happen.
Lawyers, Doctors, Teachers - Everyone.
But yes, you are right, maybe a little will power is needed. But he's on the right track by going to rehab.
