Mmm.. it's definately an interesting one. I'll need to see it in action for a few more games to decide.. at the moment i don't really like it at all.

Brades:

I think its long past being "like" soccer.
The game is becoming a spitting image of the game we call "Wog Ball"

But then again we do have one as the President of the AFL.

Sam Newman as President of the AFL for 2008!

I understand the point of the rule: Obviously the AFL are trying to get players to play infront rather than come from behind and if they are behind use their body rather than hands to get the other player away.

I still think it's a pretty stupid rule though

Yea but its a main point of the game..
The smarter player will always win using there strengths.

If they're stronger and use that they will win.
If they're taller and use it they will win..

ETC ETC.

The in the back with two hands with a strong push is fair enough.
But anything else is just plain.. Retarded.

I dont think its such a big deal. Defenders have used it as an unfair advantage to get soft pushoffs for 100 years the forearm can be just as effective just means they need a bit of practice like Lloyd and the boys when they were forced to take shots on goal in 30 seconds!

What so every FF should learn how to fall in mid air.
Ok.
Game Over

No not at all, I just feel it will encourage smarter defenders and IMO a forearm is fairer than a hand as once a defender gets his hands positioned he can basically move the foreward anywhere he wants to get him out of position. With a forearm however if you run in and try pushing someone around the movement will be more noticeable because of the force and hence the opponent deserving a free kick.

Its about rewarding positive football with guys playing in front and manning up instead of hanging off and double teaming. I feel it will reverse the negativity of flooding as well!

Thats complete ****.

Its about smart footy, not how to fall.
If a player can keep another out of the contest with ONE hand then he has won the contest.

Now double teaming will never stop, Plugger got it is whole career and a large % he still won.
Bazza gets it alot but he plays alot different when he's getting it down he plays up the ground and wins the ball.
Brown's alot like Plugger using his strength against his opponent.

Reiwoldt is another Lloyd, enough said.

But its about how smart the player is, using his strengths.
But using this BS push in the back update of rules and stuff is just a laugh.
BRING BACK THE BIFF!
