Default Battle Of The Young Guns .. Priddis or Pendlebury??

Disregarding age, My question for you guys is whether you would prefer to have Matthew Priddis or Scott Pendlebury in your team? I as a West Coast Supporter/borderline fanatic would say Priddis, but I also admire the skills of Pendlebury. I know that Pendlebury is younger, but they are both in their second year of AFL footy. So my question is- who you would prefer??

Seriously??... It might be just me... But i always thought, especially this year that his foot skills have been a step better than most collingwoods midfield.. I apologize for the thread if it seems a no brainer though..

You've got to be freakin joking dude! Have you even seen him play? Because nobody who has could make that statement with a straigh face, not without some heavy anti-Collingwood bias at least.

Yes I have watched him play and when I have, I haven't seen many a decent dished off kick. He is also not hard enough and doesnt put his body on the line like I have seen Priddis do already.

Pendlebury is from my home town, so him.

Priddis is a great player, but I think Pendlebury will be even better than him in 2 years time.

Another question. Do you think that Priddis would be a better player if he had had the oppurtunities that pendlebury has had so far, or do you think that having to come through the WAFL and winning the sandover medal before his main shot at AFL football is the main factor that has helped him to succeed??

They are both naturally good footballers so I think that they would have ended up being the players they are today (and what they will become in the future) no matter what path they took. Pendlebury played in the rural victorian leagues first and then a bit of VFL, while Priddis got his chance through the WAFL alone.

Winning the sandover, by such a big margin as well, definately confirmed (not alerted) the eagles of his huge talent.
