Default another West Coast vs Sydney GF?

i couldn't help but notice a lot are sensing this could happen again. (myself included)

what are some of the reasons behind your thinking?
(here are mine):
- AFL wants it to happen
- West Coast are yet to peak
- Sydney have got some unfinished business
- interstate teams have an advantage
- there's something weird about these two teams

My is basically because I dont see a clear challenger to either yet! Fremantle and the Bulldogs are the 2 next closest teams IMO and whilst both are top 4 quality I cant see them toppling the Eagles in September and Sydney whilst not having as good a list as these 3 teams play the best team footy I have ever seen and are definitely a champion team which holds higher over a team of champions like Freo!

Fully agree.
After last years loss to WCE we are rightfully P/O.
Would of been a different game if Hall was on his game a lil.
But thats football

And it would have been a different game in '05 if Gardiner had stepped up.

But as you said, that's football. One all heading into the year, hopefully it's a rematch so we can take the lead

You think you'd be able to?

We lost by 1 point without Hall in the game whats so ever.
And next time ill be there.

So if you guys get up a bit ill go on the field and KO Punch Cousins or someone Jokes :P

But like come on :P
Like we still have a 2 pt advantage over you's

I think Sydney have a couple of years left but after that may struggle for a bit. I wouldn't count it out this year, both have very good lists, the eagles is probably the best in the AFL by a long way.

Always great games between these two, should be another cracker contest this year

Im eagerly anticipating round 1 its by far the smartest thing the AFL has done to give us a bumper GF replay in round 1 to kickoff. Agree with you on Sydney having probably 2-3 years left atop but think the Eagles have built solid enough to be finalists for the next decade barring massive injuries!

West Coast are by far the best team and Sydney are doing everything they can to win it this year even if that means hindering themselves in the future. It will be a WCE vs. Sydney GF this year

Hard to pick.. But honestly, they'll be up there again and nothing can be ruled out. A trifector of Grand Finals would be something amazing.. and heading into it at 1 a piece would be even better.

Make's you ponder the 07' season even more..
