Default The AFL are ruining the game with 3 interchange & 1 substitute.

The AFL are ruining the game with 3 interchange & 1 substitute.

The AFL have said that they have research to back up their move to have 3 interchange players and 1 substitute, but where are these results?
The game is fine how it is and the speed of the game is only a current trend, if you leave it up to the coaches they will rectify the problem as they always have.

I like the idea of a substitute to even up the contest after an injury but sacrificing an interchange player isn't worth it. But it will be interesting to see how the teams adapt to this and use it to their advantage.

IMHO the AFL should just leave the game and stop making rule changes.

Good Call ? Bad Call ?

They changed it to stop players getting any soft tissue injuries by being brought back on the ground for short amounts of time.

While I can agree with their decision based on the health and well-being of the players, I understand where the rest of you are coming from. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

BAD CALL. Its turning into a running games & soft tissue injuries will continue. AFL would be afraid of litigation if someone broke down & was retired off. Payments would be enormous as everyone would say he was potentially a SUPER STAR. I like it.
