Default Tigers Forced To Sell More Home Games

Looks like the Tigers are set to sell even more home games next year ... Personally its not a trend I like to see ... always fraught with danger. However, business is business and sometimes AFL supporters just have to realise some clubs will be forced into these decisions for the sake of money.

Great opportunity now for other clubs to get more home games at the MCG.

Caroline Wilson will be all over this...she's had a problem with Richmond for a while and this will only fuel it.

I guess it's a good financial move, but it will cost the Tigers a few games IMO, games that they probably could of won had it been played at the MCG.

Remember when the AFL played the same little trick on the Demons and it ended up a near financial disaster & centimetres away from much worse.

They played the then "struggling" Lions, sold home games to them. After the first year, where they won they thought it was a great idea. However, as the Lions got stronger & stronger it became a massively different story.

Demons sold their identity and where on the verge of instead of being know as the Melbourne Demons, where to be know as the "Interstate Demons" and at the mercy of the AFL.

Playing interstate football especially in Cairns & Darwin, often doesn't just effect you 1 week ... it has a flow on effect and can hinder your performance for many week.

Oh. How some clubs forget.

Yes but if the Tigers play Port Adelaide at Beaufort they will make money.

You make money in AFL football when you win games & play in the finals.
