It'd be if the other guy was unconscious, missing all teeth and may even have a few broken bones.

I don't care what you say, the Geelong Advertiser is a mighty fine publication for Geelong supporters and bandwagoners alike

The following are pure gold:
Zero Punctuation, Family Guy, Mighty Boosh, Black Books, RATM, QOTSA, Buckethead, Werder Bremen and the Cats

TKO = technical knockout doesn't it? IE: He wasn't actually knocked out but the fight ended early?

That is correct RoosyRocks the ref will step in and stop a fight if the other boxer does not protect himself at the same time is on the verge of being KO(Knocked out).

Little boy, don't talk to me like that.
Anyway, since when is the "Urban Dictionary" a real source?
Do you hand up your grade 5 homework with definitions from "Urban Dictionary"?

Freeonlinedictionary: "Noun 1. TKO - a knockout declared by the referee who judges one boxer unable to continue"
Answers.com: "TKO - Technical Knock Out"
Webster: technical knockout Function: noun: the termination of a boxing match when a boxer is unable or is declared by the referee to be unable (as because of injuries) to continue the fight -- called also TKO
YourDictionary.com - TKO definition abbr. technical knockout
Wordweb online - Noun: TKO - A knockout declared by the referee who judges one boxer unable to continue 1- technical knockout
All-acronyms.com - TKO = 1. Technical Knock-Out, 2. To Keep Open, 3. Iata Code for Mankato Airport, Mankato, Kansas, United States, 4. Target Kill and Observation, 5. Telekommunikationsordnung, 6. Telkonet, Inc.

Oh and BTW, your precious "Urban Dictionary" had your answer at number 6 of 7 (With a negative thumbs up to thumbs down ratio) My answer was #1 and #2, both with very positive ratios.

I'm just quoting here ...

It has slang, and Total Knock Out is a slang term ...
Freeonlinedictionary: "Noun 1. TKO - a knockout declared by the referee who judges one boxer unable to continue"

If you are going to use slang, especially a slang term that gets a negative rating at a site that is all about the slang, then i suggest you don't use the abbreviation for the slang, even more so when the abbreviation is often used more widely as an abbreviation for something else, and add to that the more widely used term also fits the post.
