Thanks for the advice but im aware of that and but think Houli is a certainty for round 1 and hope either he or Selwood get a match in round 2. I am keen on Kelly given his ability far outways his pricetag and dont wish to waste a trade after round 2 to pick him up!

i wouldn't touch Kelly either.
even if he was missing only 1 match it's not worth it.
Kelly is hardly a 'certainty' in Geelong's best 22 anymore. He barely makes it.
someone like Prismall could play a blinder in rd1 and be stuck in the team.
i wonder who this hot tip its... would it be KANE JOHNSON???

he actually crossed my mind as being the next James McDonald (tagger turned onballer), and with the Coughlan... he might be needed! big risk indeed, but you may have struck gold.

I will give you a hint since you help me out so much! K.Johnson isnt really in my team :-) the bloke I have is around the same price, had a poor year last year but as had a blinder of a preseason and his team are in the NAB Cup final!

The hot tip I have is to start with Darcy and Hudson, I still come in under the $333,000 per player average for my rucks and I have it on good news that anywhere from round 6 onwards theres a few young rucks which will start popping up. By round 8 i'm hoping both Darcy and Huddo have their feet and have produced a 100-200K price hike which will give me around $300,000 to get JB,JB,Judd into my team :-)

Needing advice I have gotten rid of Kelly, I have $559,800 in cap space. I am leaning towards buying Buckley $553,600 as a forward and using either Lovett $385,200 or Davey $445,900 to replace my missing midfielder.

Lovett and Davey play a very similar game however with our big forwardline i'm leaning towards keeping Lovett given hes $60,000 cheaper.

Would you:
a) keep both and just buy Buckley as a centre?
b) keep both and buy a different centre? (Sherman/Tuck/Bartel/Harris)
c) trade 1 and buy a different type of forward and a cheap centre? ( Fev/Lucas) (Murphy/Pendlebury)
d) trade 1 buy Bucks as a forward and a cheap centre?

I wold probably go B or D myself. I'm not a fan of Lovett or Davey, they are a fair bit inconsistent.. and don't we know that with most aboriginal players. Not saying they are poor (not being racist either), its just a trait they have!

Davey was actually very consistent last year averaging 80+ and Lovett is expected to take on more of a midfield role this year so expect him to post similar numbers to Davey!

hmm ok didn't know Davey was that, but Lovett definitely wasnt, because I remember having him in my team and it was awful!

Lovett fluctuated highly last year due to being stuck in the forward line. Late in the year he got a run in the mids as well and did far better getting tackles and kicks far more.

My bro had Davey all year last year so I followed him closely and he was ultra-consistent, had about 2 games under 80 all year and 4-5 over!

Awful team, just awful. You'd be lucky to score 500 from your midfield and 500 from your backline.
