Default Tippaz Supercoach (RMT)

Still evolving, but i've studied all the players & prices properly now.
Here's my 1st real draft:

B - Gilbee, C.Jones, McPhee, A.Walker, Birchall, J.Walker, Koschitzke, [Ellis, Frawley]

C - Hodge, Ball, Deledio, M.Murphy, Sylvia, Pendlebury, [Selwood, Thomas]

R - Cox, Hudson, [C.Cloke, Renouf]

F - Hall(c), Pavlich, Ablett jr, Lynch, Monfries, Franklin, Hansen, [Davey, Edwards]

roughly $700,000 leftover, and i am struggling to part with my bargains.
- Daniel Wells will have to come in for either Sylvia/Pendlebury i think
- either Lynch/Hansen could use an upgrade
- C.Cloke for Sandlilands (moving Hudson to the reserves) is inevitable
- i was very keen to own Raines early on, so maybe J.Walker or Kosi could make way?
- no PTA or BRL players. that annoys me, as i like to cover all teams.

I am seriously considering going into the season with money to spare. My intentions have always been; (1) DO NOT trade after rd1. (2) Make 2 trades after rd2. Maybe the extra cash can work in favour, as i will not have to ship out a good player for the next Jobe Watson or Patrick Bowen.

Your midfield lacks ALOT. You will be lucky to score 500 in your midfield.

Relying on Lynch as a power forward is a BAD idea. Also, relying on Franklin is a BAD idea. He was playing well last year and still averaging 60... and he will NOT improve on his average scoring. Trust me on that.

A Walker is also a BAD idea.

i have utmost confidence in A.Walker and Franklin lifting their game this year. (deep down, hoping for the next Goddard and Riewoldt).

Lynch is a wildcard, but his stats shot through the roof in the 2nd half of the season (and usually thats a good sign). full-forwards are very inconsistent scorers but do have the ability score VERY BIG. and i'll never forget that monster score from Lynch last year (it was like... triple his average at the time... 192pts i think). well, if he can that a couple of times i want a piece of it.

my biggest concerns are Sylvia and Pendlebury. despite my 'AFL.com.au DreamTeam' confidence, i am not so sure CD will be good for them. in my eyes they are well underpriced and will somewhat improve, but perhaps not to the extent i was hoping for. in that case, i will certainly be looking to making improvements to my team, because it would be unwise to own too many players "in-need-of-a-trade".

Franklin is a half forward flanker, not a CHF. He is inconsistent at best. How many times do I have to tell people this?

A walker is a very very very poor user of the ball. Thats something that just doesnt improve in one season, he will get around 60 points a game in CD points.

Pendlebury.. I dont know what you see in him because no one else but you see something in him. I dont like his ball use, I think he takes too long to use it.

Lynch is a big concern. Sure, 1ce in 22 games he'll put a big game in.. but why bother risking that when you can have Brown who you know will average atleast 130. Like Judd.. Get rid of Lynch, put money on Judd and you know Judd will always average 130.. its just a given.

tippaz, im starting to see the reason why u prefer to go very light on the centres area...

for example, if u have hall-pavlich-o'keefe-embley-etc on forwards (at least 5 or 6 superstars) and gilbee-cornes-goddard-etc on backs (at least 5 or 6 superstars), unless any injury comes, u dont really need to trade anyone for the whole season...

then, on centres, where arguably more talents are available at cheaper price, u could really punt on some cheap players and hoping they will strike rich in price... probably u need 1 or 2 superstars just to balance the side... and, with 5-6 bargain players, surely u wont miss all of them, at least 2 will make it and thats where ur money for future trade will come from... then, later in the season, u could concentrate on trading only around the centres area to buy 2 or 3 more superstars without having to worry about any other areas... and, that will only cost u about 6-10 trades...

PLUS, dont forget about the 1 or 2 cheap players in forwards and backs... kosi, nathan g brown, lachlan hansen, etc surely gonna make some extra money... trading 1 player on each area could make u the extra money to buy centre superstars... and, thats another 3-5 trades...

SO, even if any injury comes, u would still have plenty of trades plus the advantage of having expensive players so (most likely) u would only need to use 1 trade to get this done...

am i right ?

Buster, I have Hall, JB, Pavlich, Embley, Ablett Jr and still have Judd and Power in my centres.

did i say anything in contrast to what uve just said ?

5-6 superstars in forwards and BACKS...
1-2 maybe in centres just to balance the side...

so, how about ur backs ??
i think corey jones is pretty much ur only superstars...

Yeah, because I can trust my cheaper backs to improve.

You obviously still dont get what I am saying. I have 5 star forwards and 3 star midfielders. He has 3 star forwards and 2 star midfielders. Get it? He may have 1 more star back, but I have equal in Rucks and pretty much equal in backs... and My forwards and Centres are miles better than him.. so I will be beating him already.
