HAMPSON, Shaun

Do you think King will be a player who can score ok for cheap this year?
I have read good things about Leunberger, worth the hype?
Gardiner I think is a good risk.
Is Hampson the best choice of the cheapy rucks?

Forwards
PAVLICH, Matthew

FEVOLA, Brendan

$94,200

TIPPETT, Kurt
$94,200

Will Fev be up for a stellar year with Judd and Stevens giving him the ball?
Is Hawkins going to have an impact with no Ablett?
Will Motlop play?
Is Tippett going to produce NAB cup form?
Who can i replace any of these with?

Any advice at all is much welcomed.
Players i should get rid of.
Players I should replace them with.
Any players at all i really should be getting.
Probably need most help with the rookies and cash cows.

What approach do i take early, lots of cheap cash cows with just a few guns and a bunch of middle range players. and then when the cash cows make money, sell them on for new cheap players who might make money, and with the money made, trade some middle range players for guns?

Any help at all would be much appreciated. My mate thinks he has our comp wrapped up because he smashed us all last year, i want to prove him wrong.

cheers

Hi Ronnie

Welcome aboard. Plenty questions in one thread. Maybe better in future to start a new thread for each question. However, here are a few answers where I have formulated an opinion.

Quote:
Will Selwood and Grimes get a game? Will Ebert get a game?
IMHO its more a matter of when will they get a game rather than if. I know the Dees have a big rap on Grimes but we are unlikely to see him tooooo early.

Quote:

I'm not a big rap for putting two ruckmen from the same side in your team. Think you are better bitting the bullet and choosing who you think has the most upside.

Quote:

Seems like a good buy for a teams major option in the ruck. Still a risk with his lack of experience. However, a risk I think I will take.

Quote:
Is Johnstone worth it?
Its more about "mind games" with trapper and I think Leigh Matthews can get the best out of him.

Quote:

If you think Judd and Stevens are the keys to Fev sounds logical to me you should have at least one of them in your side. However, both are under injury clouds.

BACKS
too many mid-ranged players
instead of Ryder + Bock + Symes + McPharlin, why not choose 1 of those guys + 2 big guns + 1 min wager
i think Grimes and Selwood will play some games this year.
you could also look at Hansen, Pfeiffer, Proud, Lower, T.Lonergan, S.Thompson(kan)

MIDS
like them.
don't get Rama. he's misclassified. not worth it. (try Dyson instead)
Yes, i like the prospects of Travis and Brock. they are underpriced.
Yes, i can see Brad Ebert playing some games, but get Rhys Palmer (he's a must)

RUCKS
get rid of King. he doesn't get points.
i strongly recommend Dean Cox (must-have).
everyone buys him. if he goes down, we all go down. there's no risk really.

FORWARDS
i strongly recommend Brad Johnson ahead of Jon Brown. Brad has missed less than 10 games over the last 10 years. he's a smarter choice.
yes, i can't see M.Motlop playing some games.
i like Kurt Tippett (well named... i have to say ).
you could probably do with another big gun somewhere.
