Default Cheapies But Goodies

Hello all i thought i would state the obvious and post 5-10 players i think are exceptional value at this point of time, and are good options to grab before they rise dramatically in price...

Since the price rise is upon us this is a good time to get your team finalised, so heres a few suggestions.

1. Jason Porplysia - Will get a midfield role with adelaide all year with goodwin in the forward line. Strong consistant and not injury prone.

2. Adam Ramanaskas - Playing in the back pocket for Essendon, will play kick to kick with Fletcher all year, plays on to himself alot and is extremly efficient. A bit so so with previous cancer scare but looks like hees over it.

3. Michael Osborne - With so much focus on 8-9 other Hawthorn players osborne should have an easy opponent most outings, and has improved his skill dramatically.

4. Jarrod Roughhead - A gun, can play big time, and is now showing it, has the potential to exceed Franklin, and be a feared CHF/FF.

5. Robert Murphy - Yes i know he got his monster score against Melbourne, but this guy before his knee injury was tearing the league apart as a 82kg CHF, looks like he is well on the way to returning to his old self.

6. Troy Simmons - Only needs to score 60 odd to pay dividends, but if he can recapture his form of old, before his injuries, he could possibly be a consistant 90-105 point player, worth taking the punt, even with his injury track record.

7. Bachar Houli - Runs like the wind, and fits in perfectly with knights game plan for Essendon, will get plenty of game time, by the end of the year should be getting consistant 80-90s.

8. Mark Nicoski - OK had a shocker on the weekend on McLeod, but will bounce back, will get a role off the half back flank and rotating through the midfield, will score big at Subiaco, but only has to score 60s to warrent his price. He will exceed this dramatically by the end of the season.

9. Nick Stevens - Well his history speaks for itself, only needs to score 70 a week to exceed his value-score ratio. Will smash this on occasions.

10. Ryan Griffen - In exactly the same boat as Stevens.

Ok guys i didnt include rookies but there pretty obvious, the guys i wrote down here are for consistant value.

Players such as Cox, C Cornes, J Brown and Dal Santo are essential for a successful supercoach team, so look at downgrading some players to the 10 i have listed above and use your cash to include Cox Delli or Cornes if you dont have them.

My formula for value-points is that every 100,000 dollars a player is worth they should be earning you 20-22 pts. e.g Bachar Houli is worth approx 150,000, to be worth having him he should be scoring you 30-33 pts a game.

All the best for the year guys.

I actually had a hunch that he'll exceed Franklin in terms of fantasy points this year, mainly because I thought Franklin is still quite inconsistent and will attract more attention from opposition defenders.

I did not take Roughead in the end, but only because he's not [yet] a big name. I'm now seriously considering him to replace the injured Drummond in my lineup.

Hey ronnie Jarrod is not to be underestimated.

I dont think you read that part of the post properly, either that or you are a passionate buddy fan? but ill break it down for you champ.

He has the characteristics of a champion chf. These players generally take an extra 2 years to progress.

I will stand by that statement, Franklin is a freak, unbelievable skill and best player over 6'5 below his knees, better than adrian deluca even (joke). Not to mention his unlimited game winning capacity, (which i believe seperates the best from the ultimate).

But roughhead just keeps on impoving with every game. So when does his improvement stop? I think he has another 2 seasons of improving left, where with Franklin we know what we are going to get. Even though he does it in his own unique freakish way, week to week.

All im saying is that he has the potential to exceed franklin, my mates already think im a ****** for making that statement, well i guess time will tell.

Thanks for the debate bud.

I think thats a good move NOVICE.

Roughead should provide a consistant 80-90 especially with big lance next to him, and the delivery from there midfield, and use the cash later to power up on of ya other boys.

Wow Hawthorn look strong.. Go Blues
