Default Supercoach Whats Happened to the Forwards this Year?

Like some others Im very suprised at the form of some of the gun forwards this year. My forward line is with their avergages and score last round:

J Brown 93.75 and 76 (-206,000)
Pavlich 100.88 and 83 ( -62,400)
Hall 92.88 and 80 (-113,000)
B Johnson 102.00 and 86 (-103,000)
Lucas 100.88 and 23 (-81,000)
Chapman 107.5 and 0 Injured (-58,600)
Franklin 89.88 and 46 (+133,000)

Potentially each of these forwards should be averaging over a hundred each week and last week they all let me know and as a consequence I lost. The lesson here is I guess is that the top forwards may not be worth the money at the start of the year. And the only midfielder who is really worth his top dollar is Judd. Then pick a more even team with a mid range price. Maybe these more expensive forwards will come back in the second half of the year but at this stage and as I am 1 and 4 picking them has cost me a chance to maket the finals in our league in Supercoach.

Any thoughts??

Default what to do?

ok.. my team is not too bad but im playing the top player in my league this week. i have stinking brennan.. 140,000 in the bank.. who do i buy? kennelly looks the best but there are clouds over his knee...
also.. how much is a trade worth? like if your making an extra 20 points each week off your new man is that worth a trade?

I understand completely with Brennan as I traded him in along with Kerr and got rid of Chad Cornes and Deledio before round 3 in supercoach. Brennan is a real stinker at the moment. A trade to me is worth more than 20 points. Are you talking Supercoach as I would think that trade would only work in Dream Team for Kennelly. Otherwise if its Supercoach then I would go for Leigh Fisher Stkilda. Hope this helps.

Flooding? A loose defender is creating a 2 on 1 contest around the key forwards.
Unless the ball goes in very quickly they don't have any space

Might be just me but have backmen tended to score higher this year?

I've put some serious thought into is.

1. THERE IS TOO MUCH CHIPPING AROUND THE BACKLINE IN FOOTBALL.

2. THE KANGAROOS ARE THE ONLY TEAM THAT PLAY A 6-MAN FORWARDLINE. EVERYONE ELSE PLAYS WITH EITHER 4 OR 5.

3. ALMOST EVERY TEAM PLAYS A LOOSE MAN IN DEFENCE.

4. THERE ARE TOO MANY MISCLASSIFIED FORWARDS LISTED AS CENTRES.

5. LOCKYER AND CARRAZZO ARE MISCLASSIFIED MIDFIELDERS LISTED AS BACKS.

I think backs are going to outperform the forwards this year. (that's a first)
I would recommend Chad Cornes is best bought as a forward.

Very good serious thoughts there. Right on target champ!

There are still 9 rounds left...all but Brad Johnson scored over 100 points for me last week, so I still have hope that they will perform.

There are enough forwards there that have a high score so that Cornes can be bought as a backman.
