Default Lance Buddy Franklin year?

My gut feeling tells me this will be the year the Buddy takes 'the next' step and imposes himself on the competition, but yet I am still hesitant on picking him in any DT as I still query his consistency. Yet if he gets it right, he will dominate, especially with an anticipated improvement from the Hawks midfield delivery. Any thoughts?

I had him last year, but he is pricey this year, and can be very inconsistent (and gives away free kicks!). But when he's hot he's hot - it depends on whether you want consistency. He got a few bags last year, but decent defenders make him work very hard. My personal opinion is that there are players available in the forwards who might prove better value. This is an AFL Dream team opinon btw, not SC.

will Franklin do it again???

i've been pondering this all summer.
right now, i'm not so keen on Hawthorn. everyone is putting them in the top4, but i think they'll struggle to repeat last year's efforts.
Lance is unpredictable. and that knee is a concern for me.
i haven't decided whether i should give him "big gun" status in my 2008 season guide as yet. but i will probably make him "hot prospect"
he needs to do something about his goalkicking. 2007 he was the most innaccurate player in the competition.
he also needs to stop giving away free kicks. 2007 he had the highest differential of frees against vs frees for in the competition as well.

which is exactly my concern...there is so much that can easily be improved on especially considering it is only his 3rd season. Most KP players take longer to mature, and those who have early impacts in their career tend to be of the calibre of the Browns, Pavlich, St Nick and co. Might be another rd3 trade prospect once I have a few cheap games to judge him on.
