I know cox is a point machine, but as a ruck is he really worth all the money? shouldnt we just get a middle priced ruck and spend the big bucks on a midfielder, and then if we have the money later cash in on cox?

I disagree, I dont think Cox is worth the extra 100k+ that you'd be spending if you went for a lesser prospect. Move that 100k over to the midfield and you can upgrade one of your potential smokeys to a more solid perforer and i think it'll be well worth missing out on Cox. Especially given he is likely to get rested.

Alot of people disagree with me but hopefully I'll be posting an "i told you so" later in the year.

Cox is so dear because he is a 7 foot midfielder. The guy is a stat machine, I pointed out in another post how he played only 19 games yet still outscored 22 game players like White and Lade so for your overall score he is a must have.

meh, not every1 picks him because i don't. I'de rather have H Mac who is much cheaper and should still get a decent amount and improve on last season.

Is the only ruck capable of averaging 100+ this year and other previous years, saves you an upgrade throughout the year in the rucks department and if he goes up, you'll struggle to get him later on in the year, unless you have remarkable cash cows, but that'll be a pretty big risk imo....
