Default Farren Ray

I have watched a bit of Ray over the years while he has been at the Dogs and I believe that he has never really lived up to what has been expected of him as a first round draft pick. What do you think he will be like at St Kilda? I'm not sure whether he will continue at the same level or finally break out of his shell and excel to be the great footballer that everyone expected of him! I hope that he can play off the half back line and allow Gram to assume a larger role as a midfielder rather than just a back flanker and allow him to inject some much needed pace into there, or maybe allow Goddard to take up the CHB position.

Very quick, big engine, excellent below his knees and very strong overhead for his size. Pity he can't kick over a jam tin (as an OUTSIDE player FFS) and sleeps with the lights on. He sure as hell won't help you win any finals games.

Pick 4 in a poor draft (2003) bar Cooney.

Couldn't make it at the Dogs a team with a gameplan tailor made for him, can't see him making much of an impression at the Saints. At least Saints didn't cough up too much for him, but still a bit of a waste.

I actually rate Ray. Had a few injuries that have stalled his progress and feel he became complacent with the Dogs and fresh scenery will do him the world of good. Should become a permanent starter with the Saints midfield lacking depth outside of Hayes, Ball and Dal Santo with Montagna the only other on-baller with any real class about him.
