Default Darcy or Hudson? Which of these two ruckman should start?

In your opinion, which of these two ruckman should start on the ground and which on the bench?

My rucks in recent weeks have been: Sandilands, Hudson (darcy, griffin)

However last week Darcy scored higher than hudson and this week hudson faces sandilands (who will probably smash him).

Western bulldogs are playing hawthorn which means darcy will be against roughhead/gilham/jacobs who might struggle to man up on him.

however, they kept geelongs forward line to only 9 goals last week.

your thoughts?

having the same problem as you, i think i'm gonna go with Darcy instead of Hudson as i think he is getting his confidence back after his knee injuries.

on the otherhand, who would you pick between Adam McPhee and Chad Cornes?

gee if that's your biggest problem then you must be going alright!

i'd probably pick chad cornes cos he's a bit more consistent and mcphee might be playing more of a defensive role against collingwood.

however, he may score 140 again but who knows?

i don't have both, i'm trading one of them in as my backline has been struggling. I was leaning towards Cornes because of his consistency and McPhee might just be doing really well cause Essendon has one a couple in a row
thanks for ur opinion

Darcy and Mcphee - it's a no brainer.

Darcy because as you have pointed out Hudson is up against Sandilands and will get smashed (and this is from a crows supporter) however the crows will smash them over the rest of the ground.

I actually told a mate of mine to trade Mcphee in last week and he got the 140 so he loves me at the moment... I would disagree that Cornes is more consistent than Mcphee - i would suggest that it is the other way around but there you go if we knew what was going to happen we would all score 2700 points each week.

this week darcy, but i think most weeks huddo.

id say cornes over mcphee.
over the year cornes should outscore mcphee.
He has done so every year of there career's. Last year chad played less games and scored more points.

thats in the past though, as you should know players change and so do their roles. i would go for mcphee ahead of cornes any day

Darcy is liable to score more heavily than Hudson now given his return to form and ability as a key forward to kick bags and get alot of marks.

McPhee is in near career best form and he is relishing his role as a 7th man in defense whereas he spent the last 2 years playing on the oppositions 2nd or 3rd best forward. Cornes has had the luxury of playing a spare defender with movement forward and into the middle for a while hence his outscoring of cPhee previously.

Default Mcphee

Another 90 points for Mcphee yesterday - certainly Mr consistent at the moment. Be interesting to see what role Cornes gets against the saints on Friday night football.

Their roles certatainly have changed. I was just responding to whoever said mcphee has been more consistant.

This is what they have averaged since 2002
Chad - 74, 84, 89, 95 and 92
Mcphee - 45, 57, 76, 83 and 78

If i had to choose one I would rather cornes, but thats irrelevant, they were the first 2 players i put in my defence at the start of the year.
