I think you Roo boys are definite finals contenders again maybe not top 4 this year though. I think the Saints will step up this year into a top 4 spot and hawthorn and geelong are my favourites for top 2 leaving you guys fighting it out with a few interstaters for the final double chance.

I do like the looks of Scott Thompson. He will be a key man in defense for us

The other Thommo looks like he is in for another solid season (even though him and Corey Jones need to sort out their communication)

appart from been a left footer compared to a right footer Lindsay Thomas reminds me a lot of Daniel Motlop, a good crumbing forward.

If we don't fiddle around with the ball in defense too much and can get it inside 50 to thommo edwards and co I think we will certainly make the finals again this season. Not sure about top 4 but hopefully top 8.

After last weeks dismal performance we will be lucky to stop at 9th... How bout 10th-11th??

Boomer is about the only player worth a **** on our roster... Lets go thru a few players...

Wells: Underperforming as to where he was drafted, and couldnt tackle a 9 year old girl to the grass. Has brilliant games, then goes missing for 4 games in a row...
Simpson: Plays his heart out every week, but lets face it, his skills(apart from marking overhead) are sub par for an on baller...
Hale: A waste of a draft pick imo Horrible player...
Spud/Gibson: Would be good solid backmen if we had a legitimate FB in the side. They are both undersized to play FB but do a decent job when asked...
Jones/Shaggers: On their day dominant. Jones is under done so he gets a first half year pass, Grant has another season in him at best...
Boomer: As above. Elite midfielder...
Thommo: Is giving us value up forward
Campbell/Thomas: Could be the next Krakours(sp?)
Swallow/Harris and a few others: Have got good potential. Harris needs to work on endurance. He only plays 70% of games every week...

In all honesty, its a sub par list and i thought we would struggle this year... A few key players out like H-Mac and we are *****ed. There is no depth, the draft picks the club make are underwhelming and the game plan stinks. How anyone thought we would be top 4 again is beyond me. Last year was a mixture between pure azz and having no injuries all year...
