Default Dean Laidleys Coaching Future?

Would love to hear what people think about Dean Laidleys coaching future.

Will he coach North in 2010? or Will he get a job elsewhere for 2010?

He won't be there next year, whether another team takes him on board I don't know, but I'm guessing he will not coach the Roos next year.

I've been a Laidley fan for a while and honestly think he has done a decent job in previous seasons. We have made the finals most in most of his tenure but our major problem lies in how we have performed once we've got there. In too many finals we've been smashed and haven't even made a contest of it, that's simply unacceptable

I've said this before somewhere but Laidley has had 7 years to build a decent list and get in players who he thinks are good enough to win premeirships, it's clear the squad we have at the moment isn't good enough to do that. Players such as Power are serviceable at best and it's a serious problem when he is our major ball winner. We keep talking about delivery into the forward line but so often i see players such as Firrito, Wells, Harvey and Ziebell giving it off to Rawlings and Power. We know the likes of Rawlings can't kick so why the hell do we give the ball to him, i remember one instance Wells ran to 50 and then dished it off to Rawlings who missed everything. The midfield is the major problem and it's an area where Laidley has not recruited anywhere near well enough.

I think North will stick with him untill the end of the season, if we make the finals and actually compete and win one or two he'll probably get another contract. If we don't make the finals then he is more than likely gone. I think JB and Eugene have done an oustanding job in the admin side of our club so im confident they will make the right decision and bring in the right coach.

The drums are beating ... think Deans time is up. Had dinner with a few "Italian" mates on Saturday and the inside mail is Roos want Nathan Buckley.

He's stepped down. Wonder if there was any pressure on him to do that?
