If you think that this is the season where Ablett will live up to expectations and turn into an elite player then jump on him now.
In the past though, he has been tagged out of games too easily and can go for weeks with much lower scores.
Cornes also has the odd bad week but has been generally more consistant in the past.

I've had Cornes every year before now. The ONLY reason I didn't have him in my team from the start is because he was quoted in the news as saying he was going to sacrifice his own game to try to shut down Pavlich in rd1. I thought his score would be low (and it was) and planned to pick him up after rd 3 or 4 when his price dropped. Unfortunately he dominated last week and his price didn't drop anywhere near as much as I'd hoped. I'll probably still trade him in anyway. I'll have to look at what other options look good in the coming weeks.

so peterfitz you are basically saying that cornes would be the safer pick (which i tend to agree with)?

Probably safer IMO.

Wish I had both of them to tell you the truth.

Before you go following my advice though I'd better warn you my current ranking is 49602 I'm not really that bad though, I'm expecting a BIG comeback over the next month.

After 4 rounds my backline is my only weakness (averaging only 500 pts a round). I have J.Bowden and C.Jones and were looking to upgrade them before their price drops any further.

I was looking at trading J.Bowden for Beau Waters and then either trading C.Jones (or maybe A.WAlker) for Adam McPhee, McLoad, H.Shaw or Goddard

What do you guys think?

Guns for Guns... I don't like it!
...unless they're injured.

I don't have Bowden but I'm waiting for the best time to trade him in!
Goddard might come into my team for Brennan this week. For you Walker might be the trade option IMO.

C.Jones had a shocker. Could VERY EASILY have scored an extra 40 points this week (I'm not joking!) but dropped a few absolute sitters and missed some pretty easy goals.

Up to you though. If you don't trade them you'll have to keep them for the season and hope their scores pick up.

Did you get C.Cornes last week? Hope so!

Nah i went with Ablett (saved more money), hope Cornes doesn't score like that for the rest of the season or i'll be pissed off.

I saw the highlights of the Kangas game and saw Jones drops, but Bowden has done nothing for me so far and my backline is really bringing me down.
Does anyone know what trades i could make that would improve it?

My backline is : J.Bowden C.Jones A.Walker J.Adcock Kosi Mundy (Subs Ellis and S.Hunt)

On the otherhand my midfield is awesome (averaged 107 last week not including Kerr as captain), its:

Kerr(captain) Judd Black K.Cornes Haselby Cooney

What do you guys think of:

Walker or Birchill - Which one should i keep?

If i sell Walker i can get any backman (looking at C.Cornes or McPhee)
or
If i sell Birchill i can get any backman except C.Cornes

Feedback would be greatly appreciated

yeh, aggie3 i was looking at birchill's stats and he looks more consistent.

On Griffen, i thougt he was gonna step up this year and be a much more consistent and higher scorer this year. If you have someone to replace him on ur bench or want to stick with him i'd give him another week or two (maybe just leave him this week because of the early lockout).

If not, i don't know how much money u got in the bank so i don't know how much u can spend but look at pendalbury or knights or gibbs or rodan (i'm not sure about lappin his been a late withdrawal lately and his injury history)

btw i'm ranked 14681, thats y i'm looking to upgrade my backs
