Default Backs vs Forwards

early season stats are showing that the backs have been outperforming the forwards. they're obviously aided by all the chipping around the backline. a lot of the big name forwards are yet to fire. this poses a new question - should (eg. Chad Cornes) be bought as a "back" or a "forward"? in the past, it was always best played as a back. however, if the current trend continues he might be best served as a forward. it will be worth keeping an eye on things.

here is a list of all the "backs" inside the top50
106.00 Mcphee
104.60 Shaw,H
103.80 Lockyer
98.80 Cornes,C (back/forward)
97.20 Fletcher
93.60 Goddard
93.60 Gilbee
92.00 McLeod
87.80 McMahon

here is a list of all the "forwards" inside the top50
104.00 Johnson,B
103.00 Lucas
101.60 Chapman
98.80 Cornes,C (back/forward)
97.40 Pavlich
87.20 O'Keefe

Ha ha, so am i vindicated am i? I do recall saying similar things earlier about Kosi? lol, seriously my backline is ace, my fwd line, while with potential for massive scores, is very inconsistent, and is expected to be that way for the simple reason that defence is easier then attack, and all the best teams are very good at defence

Normally it takes the forwards a little longer to get firing. Wait until mid season when the big boys have some solid match fitness and then the tide will turn.
