Paul Roos & Tanking Debate

Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos has emerged from a meeting in Melbourne which was examining allegations of match fixing during the AFL preseason competition.

Is the AFL just trying to scare a few people by posturing early on the subject of match fixing?

All this talk about "oh people bet on these games" and those same people dont bet in the home & away games!

I feel the AFL is well within their rights to investigate this and to throw the book at Roos if found guilty. This is not just tanking we are talking about, he didn't just put a poor 22 (26) on the park he actually told a player not to score to ensure they lost the match. I hope for his sake it and the sake of the game it's a misheard comment if not he should be banned from any and all AFL related positions and places.

Firstly you dont think ever coach top team coach wishes they get knocked out of the Pre Season comp straight up?

Secondaly the AFL must of felt the sting from last years Carlton fiasco.
