Default Fremantle v Essendon Subiaco Oval - Round 19 2007

Master Coach vs Apprentice Coach. However, can the apprentice finally end the Essendon coaching debacle.

After a couple of good games, especially the West Coast game. If Freo is true to form they will probably lose this game. lol.

I depends which Freo turns up on the day. I thnk Freo will either flog Essendon or lose. No in between.

They're a tricky lot those Essendon guys, they win when they should lose and when you do expect it.

No, no, and no. (for once i agree with Brades)

Certain loss here.

keep the margin under 100pts, and i'll be happy.

just confirms my theory.
we've given up. playing like a bunch of lost souls.
they did not try hard enough.
our guys are playing nothing like our first half to the season.

i will not blame the players or the coach for this.
that president and board have completely sucked the life out of our season.
we were beating teams like WCE & SYD (by1pt)
we had come-from-behind wins against MEL & RIC
and we were really competitive against GEE, although the scoreline may not show that.
but ever since they sacked Sheedy, our terrific season has turned into a complete trainwreck.
just look at the way we've played.
yes, i realise they came out and beat ADE, but they only lifted that one for Sheeds (teams always win after the coach gets sacked!)
but the last 2 weeks against Hawthorn and Fremantle have been empty lifeless performances. the spirit is gone.
we are fighting a lost cause, and we are not lifting like we did earlier on the season.

we've got Carlton next week, and i can give you the tip right now - WE'RE NOT GOING TO WIN!
we're about to do the competition a huge favour, and stuff up Carlton's chances of getting that priority draft pick.
they'll beat Richmond in rd21, as that is the final hoorah for Hirdy & Sheeds in front of a home crowd. i will be there, possibly shedding a tear. it will be a sad and historic day. i'm sure we'll win. they have to. and they WILL lift for that one.
rd22 against West Coast will be another huge loss though. they'll just be going through the motions. Hirdy will get chairlifted off the ground with a warm reception, i'm sure.

2008... i'm already thinking spoon.
history will show that teams drop dramatically after they sack a great coach.
just look at Melbourne. they sacked Norm Smith, the greatest coach of all time. he won 6 flags in the space of 10 years, then sacked him... and they haven't won a premiership since.
