Then I guess you don't understand how the vast majority of AFL supporters would be insanely outraged at the thought of an interstate grand final

The OTHER reason why the GF is at the G is because even the ****s running the AFL know better then to break the kind of formula that got us the second most attended league of any kind in the world (on average)

its the biggest game of the year, everyone wants a ticket, why would you have it at a place that has only 45 000 tickets to sell?.........thats only about the membership base of one competing club.....forgetting corporates and hangers on.......ect ect
Because you watch Adelaide once a year.

Because there is this thing called home ground advantage that should be awarded to the highest placed team entering the final. The MCG is no a neutral venue like Wembley, so one team can have an advantage of playing on the pitch 10 times a year. There should be nothing about Tickets anyway, because only 30 thousand of 99 go to supporters, the rest are dolled out to sponsors and ****, so there are barely any supporters there in the first place. Make it a 45k stadium and sell all the tickets to actual fans and it'll have the same affect.

Unfortunately you are unable to think on a high level of logic, just like the AFL.

There have been 3 interstate grandfinals since 2003. Have you yet to come to terms with this being a national competition? If so it shows how petulant the state of Victoria is that it can't accept other states are as good or are better than them.

I'm no mug football fan, i don't just watch a game from adelaide when my team is playing, i watch a game any time its on tv, whoever is playing

agreed the mcg is no wembley.....but this home ground advantage you are referring to is usually attributed to home fans being louder and/or more supportive of the home team- but seeing you already answered this by stating other than a few members from each playing club, the rest are corporates and neutrals the advantage is clearly negated, plus if its a specific advantage of climate, or wind or specific ground conditions you mean essendon/bulldogs/stkilda/geelong ect.. and a few other teams have home grounds other than the mcg, we probably play at the g only 3/4/5 times a year anyway which is similar to the interstate sides (theres probably stats to prove me wrong but i'm sure its close)

the only advantage i see is not having to travel, but teams travel week in week out these days, plus sometimes its beneficial to be out of melbourne on gf week anyway and swoop in to play the game and leave..too much hype and abnormal prep in melb.

I'm well aware of this being a national comp, as I've already stated it is as shown by the division of talent you miserable, ignorant tw@t.

If you knew anything about AFL then you would have been able to see why the G is where AFL belongs rather then resort to meaningless statistics and baiting an entire state.

In the world of English Football etc that would be true, however with no ground being the exact same size, there is a distinct advantage to having that as a home ground.

The Wind at the MCG is as bad as any other place when the wind is around. Adelaide barely gets windy half the time and I know because I actually go to the games.

Well that was a good game to watch.
Its a pity that the umps saw fit to give Big V Brown a free kick every time the ball got near him or when he was touched by the opposition player.(and pay marks that were not marks)........and yes its sour grapes people.

#$@%^&*()_+! bloody umps.

That leaves the mcg a ground with a huge capacity, fair surface, and for me the perfect size for afl plus its where the gf has been played for over 100 years...seems like the only option to me
Heard of Stadium Australia(ANZ Stadium)? 80k capacity and has held the biggest crowd outside of Victoria in an AFL game.

Plus Brades anyone who has attended AAMI Stadium knows how much the wind has an effect on the game. To say the MCG is the same is simply foolish.

The bits of the game I saw were very entertaining. I saw J Brown attempt to iron out Mcleod and Buddy give a don't argue to his own teamate, and of all people the captain.

well done to the big V and I think boomer harvey played alright kicking 3 goals.

Go you good thing Boomer
