as you said, you wanted into the league, meaning the flying is part and parcel of that

jas929406 would you rather have 12 games a year where you have 45000 of your own screaming fans cheering you on and none from the opposition?--but have to fly to another state every other week.

or

stay in your own state most weeks but have support from only 50% of the crowd most weeks?

dont under estimate the power of a full house all supporting one team
Obviously the WCE would not change a thing, leave it the way it is at the moment.
WCE dont get 45000 to a home game (its rare unless finals) ,when we play away games we would be lucky to get 20% supporters at the TD,MCG,AS,G ect in our favour.(less if it is Collingwood$$$$$)

Some Vic teams seem to be getting the wrong end of the stick when it comes to Home ground advantage imo......but it pays to have your own home ground like Geelong(ss) and Collingwood(MCG$$$$$$).

Its a tougher road to the finals when you have to travel every second week but that just makes the enjoyment of winning the flag(GF) MORE REWARDING IMO.

The AFL should do a lot more to help most Vic teams that have to share home ground ect.......They generate shait loads of money each year from this great game and maybe building a couple more BATTLE ARENAS (50-60,000 supporters), in and around Vic WILL BE HANDY.

So you didn't exactly show much logic either, did you?
Since the WCE and Bears came into the league in 87, Victorian teams have played interstate teams 10 times in the GF, with the interstate teams winning 7, which proves on GF day the ground is not an advantage
DId you read what I wrote or did you automatically assume something like normal and it was wrong.

It should be for fans only. The AFL makes so much money it shouldn't need to hold it at a big ground.

Oh and BOP, all it proves is that Interstate teams were better. Not that there was a distinct advantage.

You obviously don't remember Adelaide 97/98 or WCE in 92, when they all beat better sides in the GF. Adelaide beat the top sides in each of those years from 4th and 5th, and WC beat the top side from 4th.

Did you read what I wrote?

So it's irrelevant what you think should happen cause it won't.

Who cares if it is irrelevant. I know its quite irrelevant becaus ethe AFL will never think that way. I am saying this is what I would like and what should happen because it is best for the game. Jesus christ, will you just grow up instead of trying to attack me every post? I know I'm awesome, but you don't have to cling on and find every post I make to make a comment on. Its quite childish.

Look at this picture of AAMI

How does that provide the same wind cover as this:
I just love the pics of the big crowds. The atmosphere of these big games is one thing I really miss about not living in Melb/Australia anymore.

Also, did you know that the MCG has the honor of saying it held the biggest crowd ever to witness a baseball game, I am sure something my American colleagues are bemused about!!!
