Again? When was the last time he did nothing? Even Johnno Brown and Pav have had quiet games, but I don't see anyone bagging them. I''l tell you right now, if Buddy was to leave the Hawks there'd be 15 teams lining up for him with their cheque books ready, and the Eagles would probably be first in line.

I have to agree with you there, but at some point do we get to question whether Lance Franklin and the Hawthorn Footy Club are the real deal in 2008?

I'm not saying that with any real harshness, the Cats seem to have their critics again this year much as they did last year, even after pulling off a fantastic unrepeatable season. A couple of scratchy games and you have the media asking if the Cats are a bit shaky and whether they may crumble as 2008 goes on...

The Hawks are definitely a great side, but can they maintain it all much the same as Geelong did in 2007?

I reckon the cats are the side to beat again this year, with the dogs also a genuine threat, but people seen to be overlooking the injuries we've had this year. Against the roos we had our starting ruckman out, were missing the run of Bateman, Crawf and Timmy Clarke, the hardness of Sewell and Croady down back. I'm not making excuses, cause North's pressure and hunger was fantastic (and they had a few out as well), but put thise six back in our side and we're a different side.

Fair call. I do like the Hawks, and I did like the Hawks a lot until I started to see that they were posing a threat to GFC, hah! I like the top three to be honest. Especially when the Cats sit atop of the nest.

I tend to take the piss out of the good players and when they have a touch of arrogance about them it just makes it more fun for me.
Pav,Brown and Buddy have an ego that they think is bigger than the club they play for or they game(AFL) itself and it shows(you cant deny it BOP).

All clubs have it(players with EGO'S) and its just fun banter with all of you on this forum,ok.

AGAIN=When i said again it means he has had another bad game this year,so look at what he has done through the year and let me know if he has?.

How long has Buddy been playing AFL for????.
Give Buddy 5 years in the AFL and lets see if he is worth all the hype and $$$$ you seem to put on him??

Great to see the roos and bombers get up this week and keep the unpredictable results coming and our hopes alive.

What is it about North and their ability to upset the Hawks and vice verser ????

Essendon and Carlton likewise....beat each other when they are clear underdogs all the time over many years.

Hawthorn on paper should have won by 40 points, and Carlton by the same sort of margin, great to see.

@jas. I would agree about Buddy's ego, but I don't think Browny and Pav have huge egos. This week has been Franklin's only bad game for the year (although there have been weeks that he hasn't dominated), and as far as how good he will be in 5 years, we can only speculate.

Stop right there.

Franklin has played many bad games this year, this wasn't even his worst.

I don't care what you say, the Geelong Advertiser is a mighty fine publication for Geelong supporters and bandwagoners alike

The following are pure gold:
Zero Punctuation, Family Guy, Mighty Boosh, Black Books, RATM, QOTSA, Buckethead, Werder Bremen and the Cats

I can't remember all of this seasons games so I can't say right now but against crows he was much worse. Anyone attributing it to Bock is a fool
