Default Essendon vs. Collingwood MCG - Round 5 2007

Already some key components played out in this game with injuries holding players back. Essendon are likely to be missing Hille, Jetta, Winderlich, Lovett-Murray, Welsh and possibly but unlikely Hird. Collingwood have their own worries with Licuria, Holland, Thomas, Prestigiacomo all most likely to miss and clouds on Medhurst, Buckley, O'Bree and Didak.

Game as always should be a cracker and hopefully the great jimmy hird can bring home another ANZAC day medal.

Agree - would be fantastic to see the great man finish off his days with another anzac medal along with a few black and white scalps.

Punters seem to think that Essendon are good things @ 1.40 v Collingwoods 2.70. It will be interesting to see what part injuries play in this result.

i love Anzac Day games.

time for a big Essendon win this year... and i'm finally going to my first game this year.
(thankfully, avoiding the loss to Carlton because i was a bit ill on the day)

and Essendon are playing at the MCG in rd6 against Hawthorn. Good. I can finally get some use out of my membership!!

beware of the wounded magpie.

beware of taking a side easily because of poor form or injuries..ie carlton

i hope we dont become complaicent!

nothing sweeter than beating the pies on anzac day, only dissapointment, cant see buckley play and see him DOING a hammie infront of my eyes on anzac day.

Well it should be a good Essendon win.
A weakened Bombers beats the fresh Pies.
Mmmmm, sounds a fun ripping session this week :P

With such a wet heavy fight to the death game against Port , I'll be surprised if the Pies can back up for this one . Bombers by 30

Default The Dons

Can't see the Dons losing this one, only deficiency i see them having against the pies is in the ruck department if big Hille doesn't play as suspected.

Bombers by 27.

Disappointing to see Winderlich out as i need him back in my Dream Team!

i want alwyn to win the anzac medal just to hear his acceptance speech, it would be priceless. We are better than them in nearly every position, unless they use a massive flood we will destroy them.

our paper here says that Hird and Hille will be playing.

Funny tho they have a massive picture of Buckley coming out of the surf like an Iron man in his budgie smugglers , but won't be playing.
Allen Didak will make a return. and the other injured Pies players look to be taking their place on the field except Paul Licuria.
