The Hawks definitely have the ability to push you down here. Would love to go see the game but I want AFL down here in Hobart so refuse to support AFl @ Aurora. Hawthorns much improved midfield will definitely test you boys and if Kerr doesnt play expect Brad Sewell who is probably the number 1 tagger in the league right now to pick up Judd. Hawthorns forward line is firing atm but you boys have the best defense in the league IMO with Glass and hunter a whole new learning curve for Franklin and Roughead/Boyle. Still think Hawthorns defense is lacking so if big Lynch and Hansen get going you will definitely have an opportunity to sink the boots in. Sitting on the fence atm probably a little closer to the Eagles side.

Hawks have a very good (possibly underrated?) midfield, which I'd probably rate in the top 5 in the AFL (Crawford, Mitchell, Lewis, Sewell etc.) and have a few good 'run with' players. Their forward line is good, however without Mark Williams I can't see it really stretching us, as their attacks could become predictable (always going to Buddy). Playing at Aurora will definitely be in Hawthorn's favour, with the ground unfamiliar to the Eagles.

Only major weaknesses I see with Hawthorn is their ruck division which is nowhere near the calibre of Cox and Seaby, both in ruck contests and around the ground, and their backline which lacks a quality FB, so Lynch should kick a bag. Will be interesting to see who Campbell Brown gets this week...

I'm tipping the Eagles by 20 points.

They don't always go to Buddy though. He kicked one on the weekend and they still managed with 3 from Roughead and 2 from Boyle. I actually reckon their forward line will stretch your defence. Buddy will towel up Glass on the lead, maybe not one on one. Boyle is constantly an oversight by opponents and then there's Roughead and Dixon, if he ever gets a kick. I daresay they match up pretty well, Brown on Lynch will be a miss match though.

I'm looking forward to sitting in the members in the Gunns stand for this one. There is real excitment around the town to have the 06 premiers in town, and I'm confident we can take them down. The Hawks play the sensational Aurora Stadium really well, and it'll be a good way to judge where we have improved from last year. Pity we won't see Kerr though.......

Eagles, unless it snows or hails. Too much class as a team for the Hawks.
