Default Sydney v Fremantle Sydney Cricket Ground - Round 14 2007

Classic 8 point game for the winner of this ... hate backing the dockers on the road.

We also get Sandilands and Tarrant back to strengthen the team. Plus, I do not think all of Sydneys inclusions will play.

Why? We are good on the road normally. Why does everyone have to constantly make the wrong assumption? If you look at our last 3 years we have been as good on the road as the two previous premiers.

I hate backing the dockers whether they are home, away or in a pub at Darwin. But I will this week. Dockers by 5

Brades would you care to tell me how you have gone in your last 8 visits to Sydney?

We may not have won in Sydney for a while, but they have been a good team over that distance but our overall record is up there with Adelaide and West Coast.

Ok here its is ... Your record on the road in Sydney is not good.

Fremantle in Sydney
Won 1 of the last 8

Lost Rd 13 2006 v Sydney
Lost Rd 12 2005 v Sydney
Lost Rd 2 2004 v Sydnney
Lost Rd 17 2003 v Sydney
Lost Rd 13 2002 v Sydney
Lost Rd 9 2001 v Sydney
Lost Rd 6 1999 v Sydney
Won Rd 2 1996 v Sydney

The Last Six
Sydney: 5
Fremantle: 1

Prelim Final 2006
Sydney 19. 13 (127) def Fremantle 14. 8 (92) Telstra Stadium
Rd 13 2006

Sydney 12. 19 (91) def Fremantle 9. 4 (58) SCG
Rd 12 2005
Sydney 16. 13 (109) def Fremantle 10. 11 (71) SCG
Rd 17 2004
Fremantle 18. 10 (118) def Sydney 14. 7 (91) Subiaco
Rd 2 2004
Sydney 15. 12 (102) def Fremantle 10. 11 (71) SCG
Rd 17 2003
Sydney 17. 9 (111) def Fremantle 14. 13 (97) SCG

History never guarantees a result. I'm not saying you cant win ... just saying on the road in Sydney you especially struggle.

Yes and I have already stated why our record is not that good in Sydney and that our overall record on the road over the last 2 years is up there with West Coast, Adelaide and Sydney.

But the game is in Sydney. You can't close your ears and ignore those stats by stating meaningless away record stats. The SCG is such a unique ground, mainly because it's **** but the fact that you haven't won there in ages proves more than you think.
