Default VFL? Williamstown?

Hi VFL fans,

Not sure whether anyone here has seen or heard of this but i've been doing a project with ABC radio in Melbourne where i have been going to a game with random fans from each AFL club in order to pick one to follow. Long story, originally from Newcastle, been in Melbourne for 4 years and i'm not one to rush into a decision...

There's a blog of my adventures at What’s My Team? and i'm on ABC 774 on Mondays and Fridays at about quarter to five talking about it.

Anyhow, on Friday afternoon i got ambushed by the President of Williamstown in the VFL who called in to get me to go along and see a VFL game as well. So i am going to see his club on Sunday afternoon to see Williamstown play the Bendigo bombers.

To be honest, i don't know a lot about the VFL - being from up North so i thought i'd see if any of you VFL fans wanted to give me a low down, tell me who i should follow, a bit about the clubs or whatever. Comments here or in the comments section of the blog would be great. I'd love to write a few posts about the VFL over the course of the season, but need to know what i'm talking about... might even slip in the odd ABC radio update over the year as well...

All tips welcome...

marcus.
