Default New WAFL team???

I reckon that the WAFL should either drop or pick up another team to make numbers even and not have byes.

I agree. A team in the northern suburbs (Joundalup region) would be a good idea since all the others are inner city or south of the river.

I think it may be beneficial to even go past Joondalup. West Perth are already there, but Perth is expanding massively up north.

Adding another team would create a further drain on the resources of the nine current clubs i.e. travel, players, financial, administrators etc. The WAFL need to get Peel competitive (at league level) and make sure the current clubs are financially viable before it even thinks about this issue.

I did notice however in July in the West Australian that Cameron Knapton the General Manager of the WACFL did suggest adding a colt's team into the WAFL as an additional pathway for this strong country league. This may be a way to test youth at this level without relocating and if they are any good they could then go to their zoned WAFL club to play at league level.

This might be a more viable option.

How about they get rid off Peel Thunder, that would be a great start.
Peel will never be competitive enough in the WAFL.(its sad to say).

A re-think on a diff club is a huge move but needed IMO.
