Default Season 2008

its going from bad to worse. we seem to manage to have one good quarter a week, showing how well we can play, but thats about it!

im glad to see woosha is giving the young guns a go. kenneddy looks like he could be a star and masten has also been a shining light imo. his disposal is brilliant! i dont think ive seen him miss a target yet.

i think we are really missing matt priddis ALOT. he gets quite a bit of the hard ball, clearances and lays many tackles a game. we miss him a lot.

Pressure on the ball carrier is something we are seriously lacking at the moment but i think thats something for woosha to address. it doesnt even look like the players WANT to win.

im getting fed up of watching the players just jogging behind their opponents with no real desire to run and chase (barring a few players who are actually TRYING)

who would win --> melbourne V west coast?

The loss of Judd and Cousins were tough enough to cope with, but injuries (too many to list) and niggles (Glass and Cox) have killed off the teams chances of at least a finals appearance this year.

Priddis is a massive loss - he provides leadership in a young midfielder + wins clearances, contested possessions, lays plenty of tackles + a lot of 1%ers + a lot of blocking/shepharding to give Kerr support/relief from hard tags. Rumours he and LeCras could be out for much longer than stated.

A lot of senior players are underperforming (particularly Fletcher, Embley, Braun, Hansen, Hunter and Nicoski particularly), which really hurts in such a young team lacking leadership.

As Bruce said currently a "rabble" - but I'm confident they'll rebound fast, as soon as the bloody injuries stop! The core of premiership players is still there and the young players are developing too well for WC to remain on the bottom for long. While the future midfield probably won't be as intimidating as 05/06/07 (still v.good though), the forward line is looking like it'll be much more dangerous.

If Melbourne played anything like they did in the last 1/4 vs. Freo, they'd win easily.

You guys are a few years off, but the trade for Judd might be a blessing in disguise!

I watched Kennedy play for the northern bullants lastyaer and he was unstoppable!

Mastens skills are already there, he drills balls waist height to forwards on the lead! he alredy looks like hees gonna be a freak.

With priddis kerr leading the way, and maybe you guys might get a player like Corey, I think you will be right up there in 2-3 years. I think a player like cOREY would much rather prefer to play at WCE than FREo!

You guys have been good for a long time, have a stint near the bottom and you will be right up there in a couple of years. Dont stress youve been alive to see a flag which supporters of 5-6 clubs cant even say. I like WCE strong team they will be back there in no time!

WCE might be the beneficery of the Judd trade yet! time will tell!

The only thing stopping West Coast from being a powerful side again is if they dont improve their attitude on the field soon.

Otherwise we'll be back on top of the ladder within 2-3 years.
